Use What You Have Challenge

Good Morning!

I saw the Use What You Have Challenge at Sweet Stamp Shop and I decided I should probably participate ; )  I have so many old stickers, papers, and embellishments that need to be used!  It feels so good to put all of those old supplies to use and not just toss them.  I found an old Making Memories Glitter Bling frame (no idea where I got it!)  and the Love Me 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye that is a couple years old.

The Glitter Frame is much more sparkly in person!  I decided to use the boy and girl from the Sweet Stamp Shop Lil' Sweet Peps stamp set.  It seems like I always need wedding cards or have someone asking me to make one for them, so I thought I would get ahead of the game and have some on hand.

Welcome + A Video!

Good Morning!

I love to get the most out of my stamps and be able to use them in a variety of different ways.  I got out my Sweet Christmas set from Lawn Fawn and decided to make a card that was not Christmas related.  I used the house to make a welcome card that could be used for a new neighbor or a house-warming gift.  

I also made a video tutorial to go with this card!  It was so fun and easy to make!

I have a birthday card made that I was going to share, but I totally forgot to take a picture of it today!  I will share it with you tomorrow : )  Instead, I will share this gorgeous card that I made a few days ago using Distress Stains.

Distress Stains always look so fun to me, but I never know how to use them or what to do with them.  I used some water color paper and just swiped each of the three colors across the paper.  It was that easy!  Because I used the water color paper, it didn't even warp.  I will be making many more cards like this in different colors.

My Core'dinations DT Intro!

Sealed with a Fish

Hello!

I started this card this morning before church and I finally just finished it!  I love the bright fish and the cute little crab!  The sentiment fits it perfectly!  

I used Distress inks to make the blue background and then I flicked water on it to make it look like water.  I also added Glossy Accents to each of the stamped bubbles and the one fish and crab's eyes.

I love, love, love the Slang Gang stamp set from Paper Smooches!  It's funny because half of the sentiments on this set are things my sister actually says, so I got this set to make lots of cards for her! Ha!  

I got the idea for the card I made today because my dad always walks on our wood floor with his shoes on and tracks dirt everywhere!  I thought the sentiment was perfect for this card!

Welcome Baby

Hello!

I have been having so much fun with my Distress Inks lately and this card really shows that.  I used four different shades of blue Distress Inks to create the "water" and then I flicked some water droplets onto it to make it look like bubbles.  I love using this technique, especially for cards that I'm trying to making look like they have water!

Make A Wish

Hello Friends!

It's no secret that I love bling and glitter, so when I saw that the Lawnscaping Challenge this week was to Bling It, I knew I had to make a card for it.  A few weeks ago I picked up some Be Creative Tape Sheets and Glitter Ritz in Cool Highlight that I haven't had the chance to use yet, so I got it out for this card.  

I used some scraps of patterned paper from My Mind's eye for the left edge.  For the chevron piece, I applied the Be Creative Tape and then the Glitter Ritz, to make it nice and sparkly.  I also stamped the flames onto a white sheet of card stock, color them in with Copics, applied the Be Creative Tape and glitter, and then fussy cut them out.

This is such a fun birthday card with all of the bling and sparkle!
